Srinagar (KNO) Family members of Slain bike rider Junaid Bhat Alias (JB93) who got killed in an road accident at Baramulla National Highway in 10 October 2015. Junaid Bhat, an 18-year old boy who went to get notes from his teacher as his exam of class 12th was on his head but he never returned back.

While our Correspondent talked with her Mother namely Rifat she told that my son was studying till 4.00 pm on 10 Oct 2015 at home on same time he found some notes are missing and he told me Mama (Mother) as I was busy in kitchen for making some dishes for dinner he came and told me were is key of my bike as I have to went for teacher’s home to get some notes for my exams and he leaved from the home at around 4.15 Pm I don’t know what I was feeling that time I want to stop him but I can’t as I got stuck that time I wana tell him junaid Don’t go this time but my mouth likely got stucked for that and I just only said it from the window of our kitchen as my son was on gate and I called him Junaid and he turned back from his bike and said kya mama (Yes Mama) I said him just Nair Gach Khudais Hawaley Araam Saan Pakey Jeh Bayeh Yezi Jaldi Ghari Yaad Che Karu (Go God Is With You Ride Your Mother Cycle Slowly And Come Back Soon As You Have To Prepare Yourself For Exams) it was my last conversation with my son.

Later I finsihed my work as I was getting ready for Asar prayers unfortunately I got a call from maternal aunt that call which destroyed my whole world within seconds I cant explain it to you that call was like a Judgment day for me as one of the our relative who was already admitted in Bone And Joint Hospital Barzulla Srinagar as I received a call from her and without saying hi hello she said were is Junaid I just reacted normally and answer her that he went to get notes from his teacher and she dropped the call on same time without saying anything my heart started beating fast and on same time I called my Son but the call was answered by unknown person I said him were is junaid tell him your mama (Mother) is calling you in return he replied me that junaid met with an minor accident his condition is better and we have done all first aid you just come and take Junaid home. While without listening him more I was shouting on him again and again give him cell phone I want to talk with him but he disconnected my call.

Then I called my brother to come home fast as junaid was met with an accident then we visited Jehlum Valley College Of Medical Sciences Hospital (JVC Hospital) which is located at Bemina Byepass and there I came to know junaid has died on spot. While maternal unle ,Mpther And Grand Mother of Junaid said that police have closed the caseof Junaid Bhat as they said that they hav found noting from which we can trace out the accused person The family has been alleging on Police that instead of tracing the accused, the police declared the culprit in the case as untraced. “Police has not investigated the case properly. Why they failed to hunt down the accused in the last two years?” family members questioned while speaking to our Correspondent OF KNO at her two-storey home in Bemina.

They also said that we had visited the police station numerous times to follow the case but were left without any results. “Why police could not trace the culprits involved in the accident. Traffic policemen were posted nearby the spot and its National Highway a main chowk is near were accident took palce there are always traffic mess how he ran away from there as there was many security persons alreadt deployed none of them seen that vehicle there Why couldn’t they identify the accused vehicle?” as Police have solved many hit and run cases why not our case had been solved yet we don’t need any compensation from Government we need only justice our demand is only one book the culprit behind bars said family members of Junaid Bhat.

Police Version :

Junaid was known among his peers as a stunt biker who would carry out life-threatening stunts on his bike and post images of them online. He was popularly known as JB-93, the number emblazoned on the bike he was riding at the time of his death, instead of the vehicle’s registration number.A police officer at Parimpora police station said the case is untraced and hence closed.
